About the project

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi stands as a true icon of luxury and hospitality in the heart of the UAE, seamlessly blending Emirati tradition with world-class design. Collaborating with WATG, renowned as the premier hotel design firm globally, our role as Hospitality Design Architects focused on the concept and detailed design of all external facades for this 7-star hotel, conference center, spa, and resort.

This architectural marvel, standing proud for two decades since its grand opening, has become synonymous with opulence and is recognized as a symbol of Abu Dhabi’s regal stature. Our visionary approach embraced the challenge of creating a building that not only reflected the grandeur expected by the Gulf Countries Council but also served as a venue for international conferences and a beacon of Seven Star World Class hospitality.

The design solution employed a meticulous blend of tradition and modernity, elevating the concourse on a podium and adorning it with two lavish ramparts as a ceremonial approach. Drawing inspiration from cherished Islamic architectural elements, our team expertly incorporated principles of balance, geometry, proportions, rhythm, and hierarchical emphasis, resulting in a cohesive and visually stunning masterpiece.

The external facades stand as a testament to our commitment to excellence, featuring a fusion of timeless Islamic patterns and contemporary materials like Rose Granite Cast and Etched Fusion Glass. This intricate combination creates a lasting impression, making Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental a destination where the past and the present coalesce in a harmonious celebration of luxury and sophistication.

As a beacon of hospitality that respects Emirati tradition while pushing the boundaries of design innovation, Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi remains an enduring symbol of timeless elegance and world-class opulence, a testament to the enduring legacy of hospitality luxury.
